Recently, Nike have launched their Nike Training Club app which guides the user through a series of workouts based on what they want to achieve, their level of fitness and how much time they have. Once they have completed an allocated time of work outs they receive a reward, which includes things like a recipe for a power smoothie or a special fun work out. This is a great way to interact with the consumer, as it utilises the technology they carry around with them all the time as iPods and iPhones contain most of the things their consumers needs and uses on a daily basis. The prevalance of apps is growing and any brand who can come up with an app that proves invaluable to the consumer will in return receive a more loyal customer who has a relationship with the brand. With Nike creating these work out sessions that will help concerned consumers with their image that can be accessed quickly and easily for business people on the go, they will reach more consumers in an easy and cost-effective way.
